Patrick is Rector of All Saints Weston in Bath with North Stoke and Langridge and currently Rural Dean of Bath.

After a first curacy at St Michael le Belfrey York serving under David Watson, he was a curate of Holy Trinity Brompton for five years. He led then an urban priority area parish in southeast London at Christ Church, Gipsy Hill where he saw considerable church growth and planted a new church at the Berridge Road estate within the parish.

Since 1995 he has been Rector of All Saints Weston. He is Cannon of Bauchi diocese in  Nigeria and is chairman of the SOMA UK council. He has led a number of teams to Africa, especially Nigeria and Malawi.

He is married to Olivia and they have four children.
